                Maryland is located in the Mid Atlantic region of the United States,          bordering Virginia, West Virginia, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. The capitol is Annapolis and the largest city is Baltimore. Maryland has it all, from mountains and rolling hills, to marshlands and sandy beaches. As of 2009 the population of Maryland was 5.7 million and it's the 19th most populated state in the country. There are 23 counties in Maryland and the following are highlights of a few of them.

 Anne Arundel County

   Anne Arundel County is located along the Chesapeake Bay. It is 588 square miles with 533 acres of waterfront property, and a population of 512,790 as of 2008. Annapolis is the capitol of Maryland and is located in Anne Arundel County. It is a charming city, proud of its' colonial heritage, home of the United States Navel Academy and offers the latest in dining, shopping, accommodations and entertainment. There are many museums to visit in Anne Arundel County such as the Historical Electronic Museum, Annapolis Marine Museum and so many others. Anne Arundel County also offers the Chesapeake Bay, with an abundance of seafood, especially known for the blue crab. There are many marinas along the Chesapeake which offer boaters and land lovers a large variety of restauraunts.

   In 2009 the real estate statistics show 5,150 houses sold at an average price of $315,000. The number of condos sold was 937 at an average price of 238,000.

Baltimore County

   Baltimore County was founded in 1729 and is 92.07 square miles, including 11.27 square miles of water. As of 2008 there were 2.7 million residents, making it the 20th largest county in the country. Baltimore County offers an abundance of restaurants, shopping, arenas, lodging, ad marinas. There is always something to do. The Inner Harbor boasts the National Aquarium, Harbor Place and the Gallery. Another great place to visit is the Maryland Zoo, with over 2000 species of animals, it is considered to be the 3rd oldest zoological establishment in the United States. Fort McHenry is another great place. Although it was important in 4 wars, it is best known as the inspiration for our national anthem. Fells Point is one of the best places in Baltimore. It has many great resaurants and bars with plenty of charm and character.

    In 2009 the real estate statistics show 6,616 homes sold at an average price of $230,000. The number of condos sold was 795 with an average price of 195,000.

Calvert County

    Calvert County is one of the oldest in the United States, formed in 1654. The county is contained within a peninsula with the Chesapeake Bay on one side and the Patuxent River on the other side. It is 345 square miles and as of 2008 has a population of 88,698. It has many attractions to see, such as the Calvert County Fair, the Arthur Store Planetarium, Biplane Air Tours and the Chesapeake Beach Water Park. There are many wonderful restaurants in Calvert County, which boasts some of the best seafood the Chesapeake Bay has to offer, especially the blue crabs. During the summer many of the marinas invite their customers to eat outside and enjoy the wonderful views.

    In 2009 the real estate statistics show 971 homes sold at an average price of $285,900. The number of condos sold were 48 at an average price of $287,415.

Prince George's County

    Prince George's County was formed in 1696 and marked Maryland's western frontier. It is 498 square miles and as of 2008, it had a population of 820,852. It has a significant number of museums and historical sights to visit such as the College Park Aviation Museum, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Museum, the Airmen Memorial Museum, and many others. There are an abundance of parks, the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and the National Archives at College Park, just to name a few. Prince George's County is also home of FedEx Field and the Washington Redskins, as well as Andrews Air Force Base and the President's Air Force One aircraft. There are many wonderful restaurants and quaint shops to please everyone.

    In 2009 the real estate statistics show 8,177 homes sold with an average price of $250,000. The number of condos sold were 1,023 at an average price of $205,000.

Baltimore City

    Baltimore City is the 12th largest city in United States and it is known as "Charm City". It is 92.07 square miles. It is a thriving metropolis with many things to do for everyone. Many of the attractions, restaurants, and shopping are within walking distance from downtown. Trains, taxis, public and water transportation make the entire city accessible. There are many museums, arenas, tours, and sports teams to satisfy everyone. Restaurants are abundant with every kind of cuisine you can think of. Entertainment abounds and cultural activities are plentiful. There is never a dull moment in Baltimore.

     In 2009 the real estate statistics show 5,250 homes sold at an average price of $315,000. The number of condos sold was 2,078 at an average price of $238,500.
